David Alford

David is the founder of Cross Purposes Productions. “Royal Ashes” will be his third film as both a writer and director (Cross Purposes and Found.).

Hannah Stam

Hannah Stam is a senior college student at Milligan University. She has been performing on stage for around fourteen years. Hannah is thankful for the opportunity to be a part of another Cross Purposes Productions project. Hannah has worked as the Assistant director for Cross Purposes (2019), Found (2021) and Royal Ashes (2022). She has also had the privilege to work in many other roles with Cross Purposes Productions. Hannah believes theatre, movies, books and any type of storytelling is extremely important, storytelling is how humans experience a life or time that is different from their own! She loves acting because it helps her understand people who are very different from herself. She says she hasn’t found a better way to understand another person than to walk a mile in their shoes, and for Hannah that’s what acting is all about.

Sam Reynolds

Sam Reynolds is a local filmmaker based out of Bristol, VA. In the past, he has worked as a camera-op and editor for several features and TV shows such as Discovery Channel’s “Memphis Street Outlaws”, K-Love’s annual “Fan Awards Show” and Kirk Cameron’s “Revive Us 2” just to name a few. Currently, he is studying for his B.S. in both Computer Science and Cybersecurity and Modern Networks at East Tennessee State University. Sam Reynolds is returning again for “Found.” after serving as the D.O.P. for the short film “Cross Purposes.”

Timothy Stam

Timothy’s love for filmmaking began as a young teen making short videos with his brothers in the backyard. At 18, he decided to pursue a career in editing and attended the Zaki Gordon school of Cinematic Arts at Liberty University. Since then, he’s edited several shorts, including his award-winning short film The Chance of a Lifetime, and is currently working on editing the feature film Don’t Say My Name, starring newcomer Brooklyn Wittmer and Cameron Arnett of Overcomer. He is excited and thankful to be able to work on his third film with Cross Purposes Productions.

Madeleine Bullen

Madeleine Bullen lives in Abingdon with her husband Joshua and their three beautiful children James, Anna Theresa, and Evelyn. Madeleine is so excited to be back for her third Cross Purposes production. Madeleine has been working in theatrical production design with the Barter Youth Academy for the last 7 years and she is so excited to continue to make the leap into film. When she is not working, Madeleine enjoys crochet, drawing, laughing with her husband and chasing her three kids around. Madeleine is so grateful to get to work with such an amazing cast and crew and is thankful for the opportunity to bring this story to life.

Benjamin Dawson

Benjamin Dawson is a composer based in Greenville, SC. Dawson’s compositions include works for choir (SATB, TTBB, SSA, and Children’s Chorus), symphony orchestra, opera and musical theatre, numerous chamber ensembles, and music for film. Having composed over two dozen independent film scores, this is his third film with Cross Purposes Productions. Favorite film scores written include feature “Found.,” short film “The Shot,” and web series “Month of the Novel.” Favorite concert compositional endeavors include his bluegrass opera Journey to Herold County, Funk and Sprite (for Pierrot ensemble), and t(fugUe)*ba (for tuba and saxophone quartet). Dawson dabbled in film production for several years, gaining skills which he has been pleased to utilize as a crew member for CPP as well as a composer.

Zoe Dominique

Zoë graduated from the Zaki Gordon school of cinematic arts at Liberty University. She has worked on many shorts and has enjoyed being with cross purposes since the beginning. Her love for contrast lighting has created some interesting setups that will appear as though she was never there. She can often be seen starring at the sun praying under her breath.

Allan Fongeallaz

Allan has fond memories of his family taking him to the movies. After earning his cinema degree, Allan worked on several short films before working production audio for two feature films. He wants to take experiences/emotions and share them with others who watch his films. His passion is for story. He looks forward to creating movies that impact audiences even after the credits roll. He is currently writing his second feature-length script, working towards becoming a writer-director.
